The Courier-Post has an interesting story about a supposed paupers' cemetery
that got lost in the tax shuffle and was sold at tax sale for $112. Never mind that it's land-locked and shouldn't be developed. Someone let this site fall through the cracks...until it was time for someone to make $$ off it.
The suspicious nature of this case is only part of the story; the real sad truth is that there are probably thousands like this across the country.
